Error Code

?Error code: 10093
This is a problem with WINDOWS VISTA users. To fix, read the below steps:
1. Click Start then go to all programs, accessories, command prompt
2. Right click the command prompt and click 'Run as Administrator'.
3. On the command prompt box type netsh winsock reset
5. Press enter and restart your computer
?Error 38
This happens once in a while and has no major issue to your maplestory files, just start it up again and maplestory should work fine. If not other reasons would be:
1. It can also be a packet error, meaning that wrong information is sent to the client.
2. Some skills get you error 38
?Server check/Firewall
1. It is because the server is down or in the middle of restarting
2. If server is up and you have this error, try disabling any antivirus/firewall you have against the 'CaptivatedStory client
3. You have been IP or mac banned.
4. Your internet is not enabled
If anything else that is not on this list happens please post something in the Support section here
?Error code: -2147024883 (The data is invalid.)
Your files has been corrupted and we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall maplestory files.
?Error code: Hackshield update error 0×300000003
You are using the Maplestory.exe instead of 'CaptivatedStory.exe. Just click the 'CaptivatedStory.exe instead of Maplestory.exe
?-2147024809 (The parameter is incorrect.)

Check to see if the 'CaptivatedStory client has been placed in your Maplestory v83 folder. If not just put 'CaptivatedStory client into your Maplestory v83 folder.

?Account does not exist / Unregistered ID
Your using the wrong client or your account may have been deleted
Make sure you are using 'CaptivatedStory client, if you are try logging into the website to see if your account exist.
?You have been disconnected from the login server
You have not connected to the server properly, try running as administrator. Sometimes it just happens when you run it the 1st or 2nd time, it does work after the 1st for me so try a couple times and don't panic.

- 1. Open My Computer.
2. Right Click on My Computer, followed by clicking Properties.
3. By default General Tab displayed.
4. Click on Hardware Tab -> Device Manager.
5. Click + near Network Adapters.
6. Click On Microsoft Loopback Adapter, followed by click delete button.
7. Confirmation pop up, choose OK

- Task Tray -> Right click the little computer -> Network and sharing center -> Manage Network Connections
Right click the one that says "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" as the adapter name and press "Disable".
Repeat to enable it.
